Michael Fallon was a priest of the Archdiocese of Brisbane who in 1997 was released by his archbishop to work as fulltime director of Community for a Better World Australia. He died very suddenly on 20 June, 2012.
Michael continued in the role of National Director of the Group with great dedication until the end of 2011. During the latter years, especially after Jill’s return to Australia, they collaborated closely, including the co-production of two volumes of Journey Together, a resource for parish group formation.

At the end of 2011, Michael returned to his home diocese of Brisbane, where he intended to work in a part-time capacity. However, he took time in March, 2012, to lead a Community Retreat in New Zealand. Shortly after his return, he underwent extensive heart surgery. Despite the fact that he seemed to be on the road to recovery, he died very suddenly on June 20th 2012.
